Project Owner: Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community
Project Type: Job Order Contracting
Construction Dates: 05/18 to 05/21

This on-call contract is for construction services in partnership with Pimara Construction for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.

Job Order #1: This project involved drainage improvements to install corrugated metal pipe (CMP) at residential driveway and road crossings on Dobson Road and Indian School Road. The Dobson Road portion of the project involved 508 LF of 30" CMP installed at 10 driveways and three road crossings. The Indian School Road portion of the project involved 210 LF of 36" CMP installed at four driveways and two farm road crossings. The project also included a total of 188 SY of asphalt paving to cover the pipe.

Job Order #2: Achen-Gardner provided pipeline rehabilitation services for the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community on a 12” potable water main that crosses under the Arizona Canal and an adjacent storm water channel. The water line was out of service for several years due to leaks located beneath the canal and we successfully rehabilitated approximately 480 LF of the pipeline using Primus Line.

Job Order #3: This project included the removal and replacement of approximately 140 LF of 12" DIP water line on McKellips Road, 100 feet west of the Loop 101.

Job Order #4: Achen-Gardner abandoned and removed more than 600 LF of 60” concrete water line.

Our crews recently removed a failing concrete saddle on an existing 8” sewer line that is currently servicing the Lonely Cactus community for Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Once the saddle and existing tee connection was removed, we installed a new manhole to provide access to the area.
